In T'woods We Oft Go
02:12
|
|||
Who do you think you are then stranger
what do I know of you?
have you seen the landscape
filled with vigor,
a mighty magical hue?
I reckon you to dull
I reckon you to soft
I see naught a man of iron
only a broken soul now lost
you see my friends that come now my dear stranger
wont take to the likes of you
they value strength and might and vigor and light
qualities found in very few
and I reckon you to scared
I reckon you to be afraid
not of us my dearest lad no no
but of the fact that you might fade
I hear them coming through the trees now stranger
their numbers swell by the day
they hate the world that cast them under stranger
so for the woods they're here to stay
still I reckon you don't see anything but their teeth
and i reckon you hate us greatly
although blind to our beliefs
you see the men that gather in these woods here stranger
are beasts to the likes of you
I tell you run now run now run dear stranger
for well be hunting very soon

04:10
|

of all the trees that grow so fair
old England to adorn
greater are none beneath the sun
than oak and ash and thorn (Rudyard Kipling)
we walk from their womb to agartha
with merriment and many broken bones
well find there a maiden and a vessel of the purest white stone
the path is not a paved one
but a river of black blood
slick is the current of her flow
and it doth gush out from that cup
soldiers criminals and outlaws
barefoot and bright-flamed we hunt for the grail (we noblemen of the ruins)
sword dancing chivalric merry men
apollonian; ever holymen slowly then
we gather, we fall, we hear the call
and ride out towards elfland forever
the blood of troy will course through
our english hearts
and burn with the brightness of the dying stars
DYING STARS

The Leaves of Life
02:24
|
|||
All under the leaves and the leaves of life
I met with virgins seven.
And one of them was Mary mild,
Our Lord's best mother in Heaven.
“Oh what are you seeking you seven pretty maids
All under the leaves of life?”
“We are seeking for no leaves, Thomas,
But for a friend of thine.”
“Go down, go down into yonder town
And sit in the gallery,
And there you'll see sweet Jesus Christ,
Nailed to a big yew tree.”
So down they went into yonder town
As fast as foot could fall.
And many a bitter and grievous tear
From them virgins' eyes did fall.
“Oh peace mother oh peace mother
Your weeping does me grieve.
But I will suffer this,” he said,
For Adam and for Eve.”
“Oh how can I my weeping leave
My sorrows undergo?
While I do see my own son die
And sons I have no more.”
He's laid his head on his right shoulder
And death has struck him nigh.
“The Holy Ghost be with your soul
Sweet mother now I die.”
Oh the rose the gentle rose
The fennel it grows so strong.
Amen, good Lord, your charity
Is the ending of my song.
